Untitled 1

People say, “You’ve changed.”

I say, I’ve simply become the person that I always was but never knew.

I think we get so consumed in becoming a certain person that we forget we must become ourselves.

It’s good to have heroes. It’s better to become one.

I actually bit the bullet and downloaded Mitt’s app just to check whether they really spelled “America” wrong.
This is a photo of my reaction when I saw that yes, not only did they misspell “America,” but that it’s the very first template (note the “1 of 14” in the bottom right hand side.)
Mitt, I would avoid using the word “details” or bragging about your management skills for the next couple months.

OMFG LMAO HAHAHAHAHA

Discovery

I suppose in the process of discovering ourselves, we have to figure out who we aren’t.

Often times we get lost in the idea of becoming type of person.

When one thing happens, we have this idea of turning ourselves around, of becoming someone new.

Yet, we forget that what we need to do is become ourselves.

After high school, I decided I need to start over as someone I was not in high school.

After a major break up, I decided I needed to become the next Don Draper or Barney Stinson.

I look at myself now and now I wonder, who is the real me?

And so my journey continues.

Political Correctness of the Day: The state of Oregon has put eight high schools on notice — their Native American mascots have got to go. A 5-1 vote Thursday by the Board of Education gives the schools five years to make the change, or their state funding is withdrawn.
The decision came after months of emotional debate about tolerance and tradition.
“It is racist. It is harmful. It is shaming. It is dehumanizing,” said Se-ah-dom Edmo, vice president of the Oregon Indian Education Association.
On the opposing side are people like Jim Smith, the principal of Banks High School — home of the Braves — who grew up on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana. “It’s a chance for us to talk about family and tradition and loyalty,” he said.
Wisconsin is the only other state with restrictions on Native American mascots. The law there requires school boards to prove that their mascots don’t promote discrimination, harassment, or stereotyping if someone complains. Regardless, Native American mascots still abound.
